Frequently Asked Questions

What is Functional Aging Training?

Functional Aging Training is a structured approach to building strength, mobility, and independence for adults 65 and up. Instead of generic gym workouts, the program focuses on the muscles you use every day — to stand up, carry groceries, climb stairs, and stay steady on your feet. I'm 75 and out of shape — is it too late?

It’s not too late. Research is clear that adults in their 70s, 80s, and 90s build real strength when they train consistently. The starting point doesn’t matter as much as showing up. (Placeholder answer — Jim’s real version coming.)

Do I need a gym or special equipment?

No. Many of the most important exercises — like the sit-to-stand — need nothing more than a sturdy chair. As you progress we’ll add light dumbbells or resistance bands, but you can do real work from home with what you already have. (Placeholder answer — Jim’s real version coming.)
